In 2023, Erk's motto is: "All you need is love!" or "All you need is Erk", as Maik Brüggemeyer from Rolling Stone puts it. Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the US release of "Love Me Do" to the day, Erk is releasing a selection of his favorite Beatles songs with 13 cover versions on a 12" vinyl album to bring a little love, joy and optimism in these difficult times spread. When he was asked shortly before going to press in 2019 if he would like to contribute the medley "Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End" to the CD booklet "Rare Trax Vol.119 / Abbey Road Revisited" for the October issue of Rolling Stone, Erk co-produced energetic support of his drummer Martin Hoffmann the medley in just two days and was able to inspire with the result... without any guitars! Then came the pandemic and Erk thought: there is more to come...

detection Frisian name, North German home, homebase for over twenty years in Berlin as singer, songwriter and producer. In the beginning of the wild 90s he mixed up the Berlin indie scene with his band "Treat". This was followed by projects with artists such as Elke Brauweiler (aka "Paula"), Pat C. or Jazzanovas Roskow Kretschmann, whose side project "Kosma" caused a furore with a composition by Erk ("Flow"). At the same time, Erk plays in the Berlin noise pop great "Cuban Rebel Girls" and "Space Kelly", with the latter he is touring Japan and South Korea. As sideman of the "Torpedo Boyz" he also hits the keys for frontman Ken Steen. The cover of the fold-out vinyl case is by Daniel Harms. Born 1980 in Hamburg, since 2007 in Berlin. After a serious accident he quits his job as a good retail salesman and decides to become a Rock'n Roll artist. With success! Meanwhile he is considered a secret pop star among Berlin artists with his oversized pictures. Exhibitions in Hamburg, Istanbul and Santa Monica follow, "Dan" Harms hangs next to Gerhard Richter, Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz and AR Penk, among others. Dan meets Erk by chance in 2017. And doesn't take long to ask when Erk needs an album cover for "When Night Meets Day". The original, measuring 240x180 cm, now decorates Erk's living room in Prenzlauer Berg. And his new album.

Life is a thriller, says Tom and writes the soundtrack for the gray area between intention and execution, for the long five o'clock tea of the soul, where you take a seat at the kidney table and with the Lord of the biscuits the clues of fate in the dim light from a floor lamp while an early Elvis Costello disc spins in the run-out groove on the turntable. No cucumber sandwiches are served here, but honest pastries. Tom Krimi has refined the art of songwriting on his second solo album, enters into lateral arabesques for purely hedonistic reasons and sometimes acts as a crooner when necessary. As a day traveler in a tailor-made suit, he travels in slow motion so as not to lose sight of the details. Like the click of a revolver in Russian roulette or the sadness in Mary's eyes. This cultivated understatement is unbelievable, although all the songs were actually written long ago and yet Tom Krimi has managed to create an album with verve and elegance that still has an effect when the music has long since stopped playing.

Five rock musicians from Berlin play German Schlager classics.
Why ? – Because they love them, and because it's fun. And because they have these classics in their musical DNA.
Now PamperingAroma is finally available on CD. Unfortunately, the band's four-hour live repertoire didn't quite fit on the CD, but there are a few jewels: MENDOCINO opens the dance, this fanfare that leads every fan straight to the epicenter of the hit wave. Once you're in the wave, Udo Jürgens has to pay the due tribute: VerwöhnAroma says at 17 YEARS, BLONDE HAIR and BUT PLEASE WITH CREAM "Thank you, Udo!"
The fact that A NEW LOVE is LIKE A NEW LIFE, that CONNY KRAMER died completely unnecessarily and that LOVE CHANGING isn't worth it follows almost logically, but that's not the end of the story by a long shot ... just this disc.
Anyone who embarks on this CD-turned-time journey into the era of the ZDF hit parade will be rewarded with a melodious mixture of retro repertoire, rock riffs, romance and audible respect for the titans of skilful light music.
