The sonnet, a sound poem, becomes a metaphor for the life of the poet Erna Fitzner, who spent decades in total isolation writing a wealth of poems that express her search for life. “Did you know what life can be before you wrote the first line?” says her sonnet. A life full of harmonies and dissonances, forte and piano: love, dreams and transience, longing and loneliness, searching for God, experiencing nature, art and happiness. "The highest happiness is always just design."
