"Today stupid and tomorrow stupid and the day after tomorrow again" tells the first almost 35 years of band history of the Abfallenden Brieftauben and traces the development of (fun) punk in Germany.
Founded at the end of 1983 as a taunt of the NDW in the heart of the vibrant Hanoverian punk scene, the self-proclaimed "fun punk duo no. 1" was to become the figurehead of German fun punk in the early 1990s. Neither the turbulent DIY genesis of the debut album Das wern wern we already done from 1986, nor the unbelievable record deal with EMI from 1989 (including cooperation with BRAVO and the newly born private television), nor the festival of the folk music tour in 1990 through the east of the republic , or even the guest appearance in Hape Kerkeling's cult feature film Kein Pardon (1993) may be missing.
In over 30 interviews, companions and contemporary witnesses (e.g. Olga from the Toy Dolls, Ted Gaier and Schorsch Kamerun from the Golden Lemons, Rodrigo González from the Doctors) describe in their own words what really happened, how they experienced it then and how they do it today think about it. The biography was created in close collaboration with founding member Micro Bogumil and is authorized by the band and management.
172 pages, full color + Autographed replica (1 of 5 motifs) + Bonus DVD with short documentary about Andora at FlotART 2018 incl. foreword by Christof Stein-Schneider (Fury in the Slaughterhouse)
The internationally renowned PopArt artist Andora worked for several months in tranquil surroundings: Rodenbach in the Palatinate, Bröckel near the Lüneburg Heath and the small town of Filderstadt. A fascinating experience for the cosmopolitan Andora, who until now has been at home in large metropolises. From the beginning, the grand master of colors recorded his impressions and his work during this time on Facebook. This is how a special diary was created, consisting of well over 1,000 postings and around 5,000 photos, which author and photographer Jens-Christian Schulze edited and put into book form, supplemented with many photos of Andora's stay in Bröckel.
The "elevator of life runs up and down in this book, in the truest sense of the word. Friedel Geratsch's autobiographical work is a study of the environment in the Ruhr area, personal and band history, a story about rise and fall, great successes and serious crises. All this with the sometimes crude ironic attitude that readers should also be familiar with from many of the author's song lyrics, not only for the band Geier Sturzflug, for which he became known as the frontman in the 1980s.
Inner distance from external glamor and a stubborn refusal to take show business seriously have brought Friedel Geratsch through the last few decades unscathed in character, as many sections of the anecdotally structured book prove. They often show stars of yesterday and today from Friedel's very own perspective. Is this book worth reading? Absolutely! So much action is rarely found between two book covers. But it has one side effect: If you read to the end, you'll end up on the dog, guaranteed!

First published in 1990, The Harp Handbook has often been referred to as “the harmonica player’s bible”. Legendary jazz musician and Grammy Award winner Howard Levy praised it as “Excellent. The first real book about the diatonic harmonica” and the American Harmonica Newsletter called it “a milestone” in harmonica literature.
The diatonic harmonica is a strange instrument. It was never originally designed to create the sounds for which it subsequently became popular, and many of the techniques used to create these sounds were only imperfectly understood, even among accomplished players. With this groundbreaking book, Steve Baker set out to demystify the myths surrounding the instrument. The Harp Handbook was the first work in harmonica literature to provide detailed insights into how the diatonic harp actually functions, explaining in clear and simple terms exactly what has to happen when you bend notes, and how dual reed systems work, as well as providing detailed descriptions of the essential playing techniques and how to master them.
These have made it a standard work on the instrument and Steve Baker’s insights have subsequently been adopted by countless later authors and teachers. The Harp Handbook is not primarily an instructional book, but a reference work, with chapters on harmonica history, construction and tonal layout, how to play in different positions or keys on one instrument, what really happens when bending or overblowing notes, different playing techniques and styles, alternate tunings and much much more. Concluding with an extensive selection of exercises in notation and tabs, to be heard on the accompanying CD, it remains just as relevant today as when it first came out.
Corin Curschellas is celebrating her stage anniversary with a special 4-CD box set. Corin Curschellas performed live for the first time 50 years ago and already showed her versatile talents back then. This anniversary was an occasion for the Tourbo Music label to look back on the career of the Graubünden singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and actress and to publish the extraordinary retrospective "Collecziuns: Her Songs 1990-2010+2022".
In 2023, Corin Curschellas is best known for new versions of traditional Romanesque folk songs that are as subtle as they are fresh, which she has created in changing formations over the past twelve years. These are loved by the audience and praised by the media. Because of this, however, Corin Curschellas' earlier work was somewhat forgotten, especially since these recordings are outdated. Therefore, the focus of the retrospective was placed on her own compositions from the years 1990-2010, in which she showed herself to be linguistically and stylistically cosmopolitan. They are songs in dialect, German, English, French and Romansh, which were recorded in studios in Graubünden, Zurich, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London and New York with countless musicians from Switzerland, Europe, Africa and the USA.
The selection of the pieces was made by Mathias Rüegg, the spiritus rector of the Vienna Art Orchestra, in which Corin Curschellas worked as a solo singer for many years. The renowned composer and arranger has created a very personal and not a chronological or thematic compilation. Despite all the musical and linguistic diversity, the unmistakably clear and multifaceted voice of Corin Curschellas is always the focus. The 60 pieces also include some unpublished solo pieces and poem settings from 2022, as well as four works composed for Corin Curschellas with the Vienna Art Orchestra. In addition to the four CDs, the box also contains two stylishly designed brochures illustrated with numerous photos with all the lyrics and tributes to 26 personalities.

He activates his last reserves of strength and makes it into the corner. Finally, after so many hard punches and kicks that he had to take in the last few minutes, the goal has been reached. Davies is the replacement. A murmur goes through the crowd. Can Davies turn the tide and help Jörg Vespermann's team to victory? Probably the most important victory that Jörg Vespermann so urgently needs in order to continue to be President at the helm of Power of Wrestling...
Author Andreas Barthel sheds light on the last year of wrestling before Corona and has conducted many exciting interviews with wrestlers and makers.
Since 1969, Jutta Weinhold has been firmly in the grip of rock music. She sang in Hair, and Jesus Christ Superstar and formed bands like Zed Yago and Velvet Viper. In doing so, she laid the foundation for dramatic metal. The lyrics, inspired by poetry, literature and imagination, are the basis for the story, which she doesn't see as a book in the usual sense, but as a slightly longer letter to friends. With her we step into the world of sagas and legends, into strange and unreal dimensions, a challenge to limitless imagination. The words of the classics accompany their quest, which begins in the Twilight Zone, at the edge of the great water, at the source of PhantaSIE.
