Pinky Loops is a string duo from Poland founded in 2017, combining classical with electronica. They play their compositions on electric instruments: violin and cello using guitar effects and a looper, an electronic looping machine. That gives the opportunity to record musical motifs during the performances, play them as a backing track, and record a few tracks to each other. Pinky Loops have played their instruments (Asia - cello, Marta - violin) since they were 7 years old. They both finished the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Poland on classical instruments. They have known each other for years and they had a possibility to play together in many different musical projects so they could find that playing together gives them satisfaction. Due to this they decided to create Pinky Loops - an electric duet. New album “Evolutions” will be released in August. The idea of this album is to combine classic with modernity - each track contains a looped musical quote taken from classical composers, in a contemporary edition. Every sound in this recording was created by Pinky Loops using only the electric instruments: violin and cello.
