Romy Conzen is a Belgian singer-songwriter with her own personality and strong charisma. Having grown up in East Belgium as the daughter of a Dutch mother and a Belgian father, she speaks four languages fluently: French and Dutch as well as German and English. The performer studied classical guitar at the Liège Conservatory and composes her own songs.
Romy's first album "Black As Night" was released in October 2012 and immediately received a lot of applause from the critics. Discovered as a new energetic rock singer, her songs are played on every radio station in the Benelux. Romy is also making waves internationally, receiving airtime in England and on US TV.
In 2015 and 2016, numerous further appearances in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany followed, including as the headliner of Belgium's largest festival "Les Francofolies de Spa", accompanied by enthusiastic media coverage.
Their current studio album "V for Victory" storms the favorite playlists of radio DJs in the Benelux again. With their varied combination of funk and pop rock, the singles "Aiaio" and "V for Victory" are still an integral part of the daily radio charts of regional stations.
With her versatile voice, warm and rough in the acoustic ballad "Bitter Now" or rocking and powerful in "Going Down", Romy is currently regarded as Belgium's hottest act for a long time. Whether up close and personal with just an acoustic guitar and microphone or accompanied by her excellent band - Romy breathes new life into the live music experience.
