All this is combined by the Dortmund rock band the Tierheims, which came together in the current line-up shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020 (there could not have been a worse time!). The Tierheims only produce their own songs and one could say that they are a very versatile, brutally honest and yet atmospherically melodic combo. But actually, the Tierheims would rather be called a perfectly normal rock band, without a lot of jewelry on their nightgown and still with attention to detail.
Thanks to the innate play instinct and the diverse experiences of the band members (over 100 years of stage maturity!), a cool mixture of rock, punk and alternative was created in the Dortmund animal shelter and titles like Talking to trees or Assheads followed.
Within the lockdown, they felt like a cornered cat who wanted to play, but had to be satisfied with all kinds of streaming concerts, smaller locations with few audiences and radio campaigns (WDR2, best band in the west in May 2021).
The cornered cat named the Tierheims was then able to demonstrate their skills at five concerts in just two days at the legendary fantasy festival Annotopia in October 2021. The now released album of the same name cornered cat consistently continues the brilliant escape of the cat from the corner. They certainly don't just catch fat mice with it!
