Curtain up for "Serum 2.0", the second long player by the Hannoversche Formation Osssy around mastermind Osssy Pfeiffer! Lo and behold: the success proves Osssy right! Both "Serum live" and "Serum 2.0" were realized entirely without the support of record companies, publishers, etc. How? Through so-called crowdfunding, where donations were publicly called for on the www.startnext.de platform. After a real nail-biter (after all, the sum of 10,000 euros had to be reached!), at the very end, when we were about to give up hope, the redeeming news came: "We did it!" This was made possible by you: the fans, the supporters, the good spirits, the friends. Once again: without you there would be no DVD, no Blu-ray - and you wouldn't be holding this album in your hands either! On behalf of the whole band, many thanks to all of you for this support! We wish you a lot of fun with "Serum 2.0" - rest assured that Osssy's journey will not end with this disc! We look forward to your feedback and hope to meet you in person at one of our concerts very soon! Cheers & God bless!

It is this fine line that the young alternative rock band SUMMERY MIND around front singer Lari manages to walk: It is a harmonious connection between a hard, metal-influenced rock sound and sensitive and melodic - not to say poppy - vocals that SUMMERY MIND without falling into old-established clichés of these two pop music poles, as so often happens. Their debut successor, Belonging, was made possible by a successful crowdfunding campaign. The album is musically and lyrically like a mirror for the band as they look back on their history so far. Belonging is a point of view that shows where the band has already arrived on their young path. And it is a decision to resolutely continue on this path and to stick to the goals and values we live by. Belonging is the psychoanalysis that shouldn't be. It is close to the life of the band and tells of decisions that have to be made, of loss and disappointment (The Realist), the moments when one is close to giving up and the certainty that all these disappointments are worth it for the joy and hope (Ablaze), which you get when you can live out your passion (One Dedication).

In 1964 he started covering British and American beat music with his first band, The Loadstones, then came to Rhythm & Blues with Bad Pyrmont's The People, and later brought his own progressive rock to the stage with Virus, which today is still heard and collected all over the world.

"Mitten ins Blau" is the new album by the Jorinde Jelen Band, which will be released in November 2014 on Timezone Records. The 10 songs are a jazzy declaration of love to the night and a musical dialogue with the lyrics. The beguiling, nocturnal thoughts of Rainer Maria Rilke, Johann Wolfgang Goethe or Christian Morgenstern merge with the unique musical sound of the six-piece band and the charismatic voice of Jorinde Jelens.

In the songs of newcomer solo artist James Ocean, all the crushing ballast of life dissolves and escapes from every pore on sheet music in a pleasantly painful way. Because what you would otherwise not dare to say can be expressed much better in song lyrics. Melancholy and confidence merge, music becomes the best friend and worst enemy at the same time. Because the alternative rock of his songs also gives incredible power in its own way. And so, with the album "Paint Your Perfect Day", James Ocean has conjured up a unique composition for his listeners and himself to cleanse the soul in all situations. Every sound hits the absolute middle between powerful hot-bloodedness and ice-cold disillusionment. You want to burst with grief and at the same time scream with audacity, "No matter what happens, I'll keep going!" James Ocean represents all the breadth and tolerance that music brings or should bring with it. A world of emotions that unconditionally devotes itself to every chord. You can identify with the music so well because it shows the normality and at the same time the uniqueness of every life story: closing with a love that cannot be closed, loss of self-confidence, despair. But music is like blood running through your veins to keep you alive. And this conviction is reflected in every second.

With "Waterfall" Hilde Kampen-Wilczek has fulfilled a wish. She decided to record a CD with her bandmate and longtime friend Otmar Kolbeck. Since he would sing just like Hilde herself, the vocal part of the CD was "secured". For emotional accompaniment, the two decided on an instrument "that touches the soul", the piano, the recording of which Dimitri Geiger (piano teacher) and Wilhlem Kampmann (also a band colleague) share for the most part. What is special is that the 12-year-old daughter also recorded a piece by Hilde. The pieces contained on the CD correspond to a "waterfall of feelings" - there is a song for almost every mood.

Volkwin has been on stage for over 30 years. For him, it is time to take stock and look at what has been achieved so far. With the CD "The early years" he presents a colorful overview of his songs from his band years since the beginning of the 90s. For him, the pieces represent a musical diary from his earlier creative period - before his solo years - and have a very personal meaning for him. The songs are about the circus of emotions that normal life offers. Some of the songs are in English, some in German. Three pieces are purely instrumental titles. With this re-release, Volkwin wants to make the forgotten songs accessible to today's audience. The 19 titles - including the previously unreleased instrumental track "In vivo guitar" - have all been remastered and appear for the first time in this compilation on one CD. The portrait of Volkwin created especially for this CD was created by the painter Hardy C. Lugerth from Celle. The release is rounded off by a lovingly designed digipack gatefold cover with an extensive booklet and detailed explanations on the creation of the individual songs.

From now on they gathered their live experience in Bremen in pretty much every big location, as well as nationwide at festivals, or the stages of other cities like Berlin. The guitarist and singer Martin Kolbe, who has been on hiatus for 28 years due to illness, is back with a strong comeback: the album "Songs From The Inside", long awaited by Kolbe fans, was recorded in spring 2014 by Martin Kolbe and the guitarist Peter Autschbach. There are 12 songs in English that deal with the experiences Martin had during his stays in various psychiatric hospitals. He sings in a bluesy voice about the trauma of being locked up ("Keys"), the compulsion to wash up ("Come Water"), the exhilaration of mania ("Finally Me") and some very weird birds ("Cage Birds") ), which he got to know in the closed department. As a bonus, there are three songs on the CD that can also be heard in German.

The most exciting stories happen right on our doorstep. Whether in the small corner pub, in the kebab shop next door, between shopping shelves or in the living room at home. The Stuttgart singer-songwriter Micha Schlueter tells small suburban dramas about everyday panic, job fuss, mental pain and relationship problems. He studied classical guitar and has been touring all over Germany in recent years both as a soloist and in various ensembles. In 2011 he released the EP “Herbstzeitlos” under the project name “von esther”. After the old school of singer-songwriters, reduced to guitar and vocals, the album ".108" followed, which the magazine "Akustik instrumente" described as "a wonderfully authentic album" (issue 6/13). On his album "Nachschwimmer" he worked together with various guest musicians. Here he combines influences from folk, jazz, gypsy and pop with classical songwriting.

Loudstark, a German-speaking rock band founded in 2013, which values clear words combined with catchy melodies. These are supported by hard guitars, a voluminous piano sound combined with a strong bass and drum beat. On the debut album of the same name, the six musicians placed great value on driving rhythms as well as melodic, gently carrying sounds. Whether at big festivals or in small clubs, where they play, they let it rip and hammer their sliding chords through the speakers so intensively that the crowd definitely sings and dances along. Within this short band history, the six have developed a remarkably growing fan base. Simply loud, louder, Loudstrong!

It is this fine line that the young alternative rock band Summery Mind around front singer Lari manages to walk: It is a harmonious connection between a hard, metal-influenced rock sound and sensitive and melodic - not to say poppy - vocals that To create a Summery Mind without falling into old-established clichés of these two pop music poles, as is so often the case. The band, which was founded in Bad Salzuflen at the end of 2006, already made the final breakthrough in the regional music scene with their first demo CD "The Last Light" and also aroused the interest of the radio station 1Live from Cologne, who voted Summery Mind in January 2009 to be the young band of the month chose. Summery Mind made their debut with their album About Dreams And Reality, released in June 2011. Their single "May", the video of which has already reached well over 20,000 views on YouTube, was also very popular and was placed on radio station WDR2 and music TV station iM1. Summery Mind offer the opportunity to penetrate deep into their music, in which they share their very personal experiences and thoughts with their fans and are not afraid to occasionally address socio-critical topics. The band is multi-faceted in many ways and at first glance it's obvious that more than just the female singer's voice provides a contrast as the rest of the band is made up of men. However, it's not about directing the spotlight on just one person, but about the perfect interaction, the contribution of each individual, about the common high goals and of course about having fun with the music... the big picture, so to speak.
"Thanks to some quite metallic, brute riffs and a first-class singer, Summery Mind spread a very unique scent that doesn't need to shy away from national comparisons." (RockHard, April 2012, #299)

Many people in Hamburg know him from HSV, where he and his friend and partner Lotto King Karl have been greeting football fans in the stadium from a crane with the song "Hamburg meine Perle" for exactly 10 years now. This has given the two a real cult status, which is known far beyond the borders of Hamburg. But many people all over Germany also know him from his former band Clowns und Helden, who landed more than just a normal little hit with the hit "I Love You". This track has been playing in discotheques and on the radio for over twenty years. Now he has returned to his roots. Carsten Pape has made a new album: "The Swimmer's Loneliness"! Carsten Pape attaches particular importance to one thing. "You hear a band here and not a singer who is simply accompanied." The songs were worked out together and you can feel that when you listen to them. But what awaits you? Can you characterize the album in a few words? A year after their last album "I Could Sense A Tragedy", dAVOS present their tenth release, an EP with three new songs and five remixes or alternative versions. The title fits the season: "My Pleasure Garden" - but that's about all the idyll and romance that this recording has to offer. In 2014, dAVOS are again basking in their usual gloomy mood, which Eric Nelson's clear vocals can only bring out of the depths on the eponymous opener "My Pleasure Garden". Already the second number "The Run", a melancholic synth wave song, is about farewell and longing, but is surpassed in desolation by the following number "Loving Man"; an autobiographical song dedicated not to a lover but to the father who beats him. The fourth song - like the following new versions of old hits - should sound familiar to fans, since it was released on the vinyl pressing of the album back in 2013. The Nine Circles remix of "Shatter" can be highlighted as a particularly successful remix, which stands out from its original with particularly catchy loops. In short: Even after ten years, dAVOS have lost none of their enthusiasm and innovation.

Daniel Lippert is a Switzerland-based German musician, composer, producer, and arranger. His music encompasses several styles such as new age, soundtrack, pop and rock. Characteristic of his works is a dynamic song structure with one or more crescendos, accompanied by a concise melody. In 2012 Daniel started working on his first solo album City In The Clouds, which was released in Switzerland in September 2013. The purely instrumental concept album impresses with a sophisticated sound experience that is well embedded in the musically described fantasy world, which is rounded off by very detailed and beautiful drawings in an enclosed art book. "City In The Clouds" is available on CD as well as in a limited special edition on blue-mottled vinyl. The vinyl version includes the full 12" artbook and a download code for the entire album.

They have been touring almost everywhere in Belgium, now Pale Gray hits the international road. Their first album Best Friends has seduced both the press and the audience with its combination of indie pop, abstract hip hop and electronic. Midway between Notwist, Alt-J, The Whitest Boy Alive or Metronomy, Pale Gray offers a universe which is groovy, atmospheric and eclectic, while retaining its own strong identity. Early in 2012, the quartet shut themselves away in its home studio in order to toy with their instruments and record their first album called Best Friends. Surrounded by vintage keyboards, guitars / bass and drums machines, they have gathered their ideas and desires on a dozen songs that range from ethereal pop, abstract hip-hop to indietronica. Accompanied by Anthony Sinatra (Piano Club, Hollywood Porn Stars) who worked as a producer, they completed the record at the Studio 5 in Liege and Oliver Zülch (13 & God, Notwist,...) and Raphael Wynands took charge of the audio mixing. The resulting album, resolutely modern, keeps a pop immediacy while trying to explore new and innovative paths taken by experimental music, hip-hop or post-rock. Best Friends will be released European wise in the beginning of 2014 through the JauneOrange label.
Abraxas is a gripping, epic reportage reflecting on our becoming and becoming, on the we and the ego in this complex world as well as on the power and transformation and the rediscovery of the beauty of life. The audio book Abraxas is a multi-layered examination of these topics . It is an exciting artistic intertwining of text and language as well as composition and music that is difficult to put into words. In any case, it is a feast for the mind, eyes and ears. The CD "Music & Poetry" for the book, which is now being presented for the first time, is a joint work by artists from very different areas.

Kulikumba, a new group in the music world. Who is behind the name remains a secret. Kulikumba is a ghost group, like Klaatu in 1975. Even then there were no photos and no details. Kulikumba wants to remain unrecognized and still convince with sophisticated and above all critical texts. The music speaks for itself. It will not be easy to reach a broad audience, because the music is unconventional and not subject to the mainstream. An insider tip for enthusiasts. Here you really have to listen, Kulikumba doesn't offer music to sprinkle. But it's worth listening. In Message for the Soul, the group sometimes takes you away from reality into unattainable spheres. Then again, the past teaches us about the future. German rock as a challenge for the listeners. Styles come and go, but good music weaves its timeless magic no matter what's in fashion. Ulli Bögershausen is a guitar magician who has mastered a very special art: he can make time stand still. And while the moment lingers, he paints pictures on the souls of his listeners - unobtrusive but unforgettable; glowing vignettes of the serenity of a late summer day, in which gentle melancholy mixes wonderfully with southern joie de vivre. After 25 years of performing and recording, the well-travelled guitarist has stacks of raving concert reviews from newspapers and magazines between Los Angeles, Seoul and Beijing. He has captivated audiences on small and large stages and in the concert halls of Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. His playing has been described as "breathtaking in its tightly woven harmonies and impeccable timing", his concerts struck observers as "fairytale-like", his albums like paragons of "sensitive string magic" in "21st century guitar music". Millions of clicks on YouTube have made Ulli Bögershausen popular around the world. His compositions and arrangements are played by many guitarists all over the world. "It Could Have Been" is well on its way to becoming a timeless classic.

Be warned, the effect of these poisonous apples would probably be too hard even for Snow White's stepmother: A sneaky mixture of radioactive R'n'B and ratty rock'n'roll, noisy blues and Neandertal beat. Their self-produced single "Thrillkillhillbillyrhythm / Synthetic Sunshine" was confiscated by the police and melted down, seeped through the core of the earth, came out the other side and has been extremely popular in Guangdong ever since. And now these four forbidden fruits are back to unleash their debut album, Pollute the Airwaves. From the introduction with Blues-Punk godfather Rob Kennedy (Workdogs, among others) to the final track "I want it back", every song is a killer that will blow your brains out and rip your guts out! The album was recorded live, analogue and over a single weekend at El Monte Studios Dortmund, mixed by Bart El Monte (Elvis Pummel, Fuzztones etc.) and mastered by Crypt Records head Tim Warren. The result is a primitive low-fi recording with minimal overdubs and maximum overdrive.

Vicente Patíz is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and entertainer all rolled into one. He travels the world on concert tours when he's not on adventure trips to Laos, for example, or producing a new CD. He provides interesting inspiration with funny activities such as a world record in the Guinness Book of eight concerts in eight different European countries within 24 hours. In order to realize his own sound language, Patíz has developed very special instruments, such as a 42-string Tierra Guitar with three differently tuned guitar necks and additional harp strings or didgeridoos and fujara flutes. In the now eighth album "Tierra" the artist played all of the more than 20 different instruments himself, creating a very illustrative cosmos of sound that goes around the world.

Frantic: feverish, raging, beside himself. They are feverishly looking for new grooves, sounds and media, mad with curiosity when discovering and exploring new percussive worlds, beside themselves with joy of playing on the street and on the stage - the seven musicians of the "frantic percussion ensemble" from Lüneburg . They are young, cheeky, have skills, passion and the wonderful charm of the fresh - in short: frantic percussion has the license to take your breath away and carry you away. Totally legal. The highest level of perfection and enormous creative potential has repeatedly inspired the audience in recent years. Among other things, at the summer music days in Hitzacker, the Lower Saxony Music Days, the project for new music "Heiderauschen", at the NDR, the young talent festival Musik 21 and at concerts in Germany, Italy, Poland and Switzerland. The "frantic percussion ensemble" is dedicated to contemporary music as well as classical percussion pieces. But their own compositions are just as important, and the young musicians incorporate influences from a wide variety of styles such as drum n bass, minimal music and jazz.

music touches! It can create feelings in us, but also associations such as images, stories or even colors. The Russian pianist and composer Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin, for example, traced the color phenomenon in his music by assigning certain colors to tones, tones or chords and making them an integral part of his compositional style. For the title of their debut CD “Violet”, the Ulf Manú Quartet has chosen a color that is seen as an expression of spirituality, mysticism and the mysterious. Ulf Manú is a seeker - not only for the higher connections of human existence, but also for ever new forms of musical expression. The classically trained guitarist has found his very own style through the fusion of the most diverse musical genres. Just as contrasting shades of color are fused with cold blue and warm red in the color violet, so Ulf Manú and his congenial fellow musicians form an exciting new cosmos of sound from supposed opposites. The quartet, with its unusual line-up of recorder, guitar, bass and percussion, manages to effortlessly combine medieval dance music, gypsy swing, jazz or world music sounds and take the listener on an associative sound journey beyond the horizon.

After more than ten years with his indie band Everlaunch, countless international tours, festival appearances (including Hurricane, Southside, Highfield) and two successful album releases, Finner felt the need to write his own songs. While he always had to come to a democratic agreement on musical matters at Everlaunch, the songs of his solo debut “The Seaside Stories” are exclusively penned by him. Musically, the songs move between modern folk, singer-songwriter, very occasional, light Americana influences and indie pop. A lot of acoustics can be heard there, only rarely loud guitars and above all Finner's distinctive voice, which sometimes breaks new ground on his solo debut. There is great versatility and unusual instruments to discover. However, Finner's versatility is also evident in other artistic areas, which he knows how to combine with music. Varied songs explain how a kangaroo celebrates Christmas, that this year it should finally be possible to see the Christmas sleigh and Santa Claus and who's favorite cookies are. In addition, the new year is greeted and “thank you” is said once at Christmas. In the usual sympathetic way, Mr. Müller and his acoustic band present Christmas treats for the ears of big and small people.
